A’s Continue to Struggle as They Fall to Green Bay 7-4
Posted: June 27, 2024
The recent woes continue for the A’s who have now dropped eight of their last nine after Wednesday night’s loss to the Green Bay Blue Ribbons.
Trailing 4-0 after five, the A’s offense found the scoreboard with three runs in the sixth inning to claw back into the game.
The Blue Ribbons would immediately respond with two in their half of the sixth and one in the seventh to seal the game away. The A’s would tack one in the ninth, and leave the bases loaded with the tying run on first to end the game.
Newcomer Jaden Hackbarth picked up two doubles in his A’s debut, adding in a walk and a run scored. Gus Walker and Harry Steldt each added extra base hits.
The A’s will try to right the ship Thursday night at home when the West Allis Nationals are in town. Thursday is Bud Light Night presented by Larry’s Distributing, with prize giveaways all night long including a Coors Light cooler with products, a Spotted Cow canvas, a Budweiser Harley Davidson mirror, Mich Ultra golf bag, win your height in Bud Light, and beer for a year. Tickets are available now. The 2024 season is presented by Meijer.
