If the A's had some pent-up frustration from last weekend, they took it out on Greater Green Bay.

The A's finish the Wisconsin State League Challenge weekend 1-2 after Sunday's loss to Lombard.

The Sheboygan A's split two games Saturday in the Wisconsin State League's fifth game challenge, defeating Kenosha 4-1, before dropping the nightcap to Addison 6-1.

There aren't many positive things to say about the A's weekend.

It was the start of seven straight road games for the A's, and it did not start out the way the team intended.

Trailing by four runs after the top of the first, the A's chipped away and evened the game, only to find themselves down by four once again, but a little late-game magic helped the team grab a 9-8 victory over West Allis Thursday night. The win improves the club's overall record to 7-3 and evens their record in the Wisconsin State League at 1-1.

Despite jumping out to an early 3-0 lead, Green Bay stormed back to tie the game at 3-3 then scored five in the fifth to eventually come away with the 9-6 victory over the A's Tuesday night.

Harry Steldt's first home run of the season was the catalyst the A's needed to jump out to a lead they would not relinquish in a 5-2 victory over Chicago in the final game of the two teams' four-game weekend set. The A's won three of the four matchups, losing the first game Sunday 11-8.

The Sheboygan A's hot start to the season continued Saturday with 12-9 and 6-3 victories over the Chicago Rippers at Wildwood Park.

Strong pitching performances by Jared Reklaitis, Dylan Davis, and Blake Kunz led the Sheboygan A’s to victory in their first Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game of the season.
