Lasch Powers A’s Past West Allis With Two-Homer Night
Posted: July 2, 2025
Connor Lasch homered twice and drove in four runs Tuesday night, leading the Sheboygan A’s to a 6–3 win over the West Allis Nationals in Wisconsin State League action at Wildwood Park.
The A’s took advantage of an early miscue to get on the board in the first. A two-base throwing error opened the door, and John Hadley followed with a sharp single down the left field line to drive in the game’s first run. A second run scored later in the inning on a fielder’s choice.
In the third, Sheboygan padded the lead with a big swing from Lasch. After singles from Bradyn Horn and Harry Steldt, Lasch lifted a three-run homer over the left field wall to make it 5–0.
West Allis chipped away, scoring single runs in the fourth, fifth, and seventh innings to pull within 5–3. They loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the eighth, threatening to flip the game on its head — but Brad Rindfleisch came in from the bullpen and slammed the door. The veteran right-hander induced a soft lineout to short, then got a strikeout and a ground ball to second to escape the jam unscathed.
Lasch added insurance in the bottom of the seventh, turning on the first pitch he saw and sending it over the wall in nearly the same spot as his first blast, pushing the lead to 6–3.
Bryce Lovisa earned the win in his first start of the season, tossing five innings of two-run ball while scattering five hits and walking none. Noah Imrie bridged the sixth and seventh before Rindfleisch worked the final two frames to lock down the save.
Lasch and Horn each had two hits for Sheboygan, while Hadley, Steldt, Gus Walker, Riley Palmquist, and Jimmy Juergensen chipped in one each. Juergensen’s double was the team’s only extra-base hit outside of Lasch’s homers.
The A’s improve to 17–11 overall and 7–8 in the Wisconsin State League. They return to Wildwood Park Wednesday for a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League game against the Appleton Legends.
