A's vs. Greater Green Bay

A’s Get Back in the Win Column Over Greater Green Bay

Posted: July 22, 2021

Bryce Lovisa’s complete-game effort helped get the A’s back in the win column Wednesday night.

The right-hander from Marian University pitched a complete game, striking out 10 and scattering five hits as the A’s ended their skid with a 5-3 win over the Blue Ribbons.

The win improves the A’s record to 24-26 overall, 13-14 in the WSL, and 6-7 in the NEWBL. The team plays West Allis in WSL action tonight at 7:30 PM in Burlington.

Six different A’s registered hits in the contest, led by Jacob Neese’s three.

Trailing 3-2 entering the top of the seventh, Harry Steldt reached base on an error. Jimmy Juergensen and TD Walker followed that up with walks to load the bases. After Sage Stellmacher grounded into a fielder’s choice that tied the game, Cole Erickson delivered a base hit past the Blue Ribbon’s shortstop to take the lead. The A’s would add one more in the eighth when speedy outfielder JT Reed scored on a wild pitch.

The A’s next home game is Christmas in July on July 27 at 6:30 PM. Tickets are available now on our website, SheboyganBaseball.org.
