Reklaitis Shines as A’s Beat Macs 4-2

Posted: June 29, 2021

Jared Reklaitis willed the A’s to victory Monday night.

The A’s righty threw a 168-pitch complete game, striking out 16 as the A’s picked up a rare road win in Menasha Monday night to remain atop the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League standings.

After taking a 2-0 lead after the first inning, Menasha chipped away scoring single runs in the third and fourth to tie the game.

Sheboygan would regain the lead in the top half of the fifth after TD Walker scored on an error and Cooper Gosse scored on a Ross Krist sac fly to left field. Those were all the runs the A’s would need as Reklaitis shut the door the rest of the way.

The win moves the A’s closer to .500 on the season, as they sit at 15-16 overall.

Tonight, the West Allis Nationals are in town for a Wisconsin State League matchup. The Nationals sit in second place at 10-3, while the A’s are in fifth at 5-7.
