Former A’s Pitcher Jones Sent Back to Yankees
Arizona Diamondbacks’ right-hander, and former Sheboygan A's pitcher Tyler Jones is headed back to the New York Yankees, the teams announced on Friday. The Diamondbacks had previously selected Jones in the Rule 5 draft last December, but elected to leave the 27-year-old off of their 40-man roster heading into the 2017 season.
Tim Patzman Joins A’s Hall of Fame
Tim Patzman was a line drive machine whose sizzlers up the gaps made him one of the most respected hitters in the Wisconsin State Baseball League and the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. They also led to a .344 career batting average and put him in the Sheboygan A’s Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
Something to Love: A’s Release 2017 Schedule
The Sheboygan A's have released their schedule for the 2017 season. The A's will play 50 regular season games between the Wisconsin State League (WSL) and the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League (NEWBL). In addition, the A's could have as many as 17 additional games between season tournaments and post-season play. At a minimum, the A's will play 56 games this summer, with as many as 67 being possible from the end of May until mid-August.
2017 Spring & Summer Internships Available Now
The Sheboygan A's are currently accepting applications for our 2017 spring and summer internship positions. Spring internships will begin immediately and run until approximately mid-May, while summer internships begin around mid-May and last until about mid-August. All internships are unpaid, but can be for-credit if approved by the school's proper advisor.
Team Awards Handed Out at Annual Dinner
Wyatt Olson, who led the Sheboygan A's in batting average (.385), runs scored (39) and hits 37, was voted on by his teammates as the 2016 Sheboygan A's MVP. Olson was presented with his award Saturday night at the team's annual awards banquet, held this year at the Elk's Club in Sheboygan. Olson also took home the leading hitter award.

For 10 seasons, Dave Kober hit behind legendary Gene Mand in the Sheboygan A’s line-up and was a prolific run producer. The Wisconsin State League Hall of Fame Committee recognized the powerful Sheboygan native’s contribution and elected him to the League’s Hall of Fame.
2016 Season Wrapup: A’s Finish with 37-19 Record
Although the A's experience three disappointing playoff or tournament exits, the club finished the 2016 campaign with a 37-19 record in their 54th season.
United Way Day of Caring Campaign Kickoff to be Held at Wildwood on September 8
On Thursday, September 8, hundreds of corporate volunteers, campaign coordinators, nonprofit leaders and United Way board members will descend upon the Wildwood Baseball Park to help kick off the 2016 United Way Campaign and then head out into the community to tackle service projects throughout the county.

A's season ends with two defeats in the Wisconsin State League Invitational Tournament. The A's finished the season 37-19 overall, 19-11 in the Wisconsin State League, and 14-6 in the Northeastern Wisconsin League.
