The Sheboygan A’s Wisconsin State League game against the Kenosha Kings scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to field conditions following storms that moved through Wisconsin earlier today.
The game, which was already the completion of a rain-halted contest from earlier this season, has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 30 in Burlington at 7:45 PM. Play will resume in the top of the third inning with the A’s leading 7-4. The game will be completed as a seven-inning contest.
A win over Kenosha or a Lombard Orioles loss in either of their final two league games will clinch at least a share of the Wisconsin State League championship for the A’s, their first since 2000.
The A’s will next take the field Tuesday night when they host the Greenville Stars in the opening round of the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League playoffs at Wildwood Park. Tickets are on sale now. With a win, Sheboygan will advance to Wednesday’s semifinal game against the winner of Tuesday’s Appleton vs. Kewaskum matchup.
The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League.
