Posted: July 26, 2022
The A’s Tuesday night announced updates to the remaining 2022 schedule.
Originally penned in for Wednesday, July 27, the A’s will be playing the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons in the final game of the NEWBL Classic on Thursday, July 28 at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay at 7:30 PM.
The A’s have added three games this upcoming weekend, all on the road.
The A’s have added a non-league doubleheader with the Chicago Clout in Chicago on Saturday, July 30 at 5 PM.
The A’s will then play the Addison Braves in a single game at 1 PM on Sunday, in a makeup from game two this past Saturday that was rained out. Game one, which was suspended entering the fifth inning last Saturday, was made up prior to this past Sunday’s originally scheduled doubleheader, which the A’s won. The A’s will be the home team in the game despite it being played in Addison. It will be the final game of the Wisconsin State League regular season for the A’s.
The A’s will host the Kenosha Kings on Tuesday, August 2 in the opening game of the Wisconsin State League qualifiers for the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament. The winner of Tuesday’s game will play either Burlington or West Allis on Wednesday, August 3 in Burlington. The winner of the Wednesday matchup would play Thursday, August 4, also in Burlington. The four-team Wisconsin Class A State Tournament will take place August 6-7 in Appleton.
The A’s will then close out the season with a pair of doubleheaders at home on August 13 and 14 against the Chicago Clout in non-league action, with Saturday’s doubleheader beginning at 5 PM. Sunday’s twin bill will begin at either 12 PM or 1 PM, the starting time will be announced in the near future. Sunday’s matchup will be a Meijer Family Day, where kids ages 12 and under will get in free, players will be available between games and after the final game for autographs, kids can run the field after the final game, and parents can register their kids to be a Junior Starter, where kids can run on the field with the A’s during the A’s starting lineups.
