A’s Release 2021 Schedule

The 2021 Sheboygan A’s schedule is finally here!

After a delayed start to the 2020 season, things are starting to get back to normal in 2021 as the club will open up May 22 and play through mid-August.

It all gets started the weekend of May 22-23, when the club will play in the Play Ball Tournament. The tournament features familiar A’s opponents Appleton (Legends), West Allis (Nationals), Kewaskum (A’s) and Manitowoc (Bandits). Also participating in the tournament are the Ashwaubenon Lookouts, Little Chute River Bandits, Sparta Miller, and the host Branch Blaze. The A’s will host three games on Saturday, with the final day of the tournament taking place the following day in Manitowoc.

The club will open Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League (NEWBL) play on Thursday, May 27 at home against Kewaskum, while the Wisconsin State League (WSL) opener will be Sunday, May 30 at home against the Burlington Barons.

Both the WSL and NEWBL bring back the same teams from last year, with the WSL consisting of the Addison Braves, Burlington, Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons, Kenosha Kings, Lombard Orioles, and West Allis Nationals. The NEWBL will again feature Appleton, Greater Green Bay, Kewaskum, the Menasha Macs. The Green Bay Strom are on a leave of absence for the second year in a row due to Covid-related issued.

The annual Wisconsin State League challenge, a weekend where all WSL teams converge on Sheboygan for regular season games takes place June 12-13 with games being played at Wildwood Park and Field of Dreams in Sheboygan.

The A’s will also once again be participating in the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic June 24-27, with that schedule yet to be announced.

Rounding out the season, the A’s will host the 2021 Wisconsin Class A State Tournament August 7-9.

Several new non-league opponents will grace the A’s home schedule this season, including the Joliet Dirtbags who will come to town for four games June 5-6, the River Falls Fighting Fish on June 18, the Chicago Clout for a doubleheader on June 19, and Little Chute on June 23.

In total, the A’s will have no less than 60 games with the potential of up to 65.

2021 Sheboygan A's season schedule

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
