A’s Walk Off Blue Ribbons, Move Into First-Place Tie in WSL

Posted: June 25, 2026

The Sheboygan A’s battled through a rain delay and a shortened game before walking off the Green Bay Blue Ribbons, 2-1, in seven innings Wednesday night at Wildwood Park.

The game began approximately an hour late because of rain and was shortened from the scheduled nine innings to seven. With the victory, the A’s improved to 9-3 in Wisconsin State League play, moving into a tie with the Kenosha Kings for first place. Green Bay fell to 6-5 in league action.

Sheboygan struck first in the second inning without recording a hit after Riley Palmquist walked and Hudson Wagner singled. Palmquist stole third and scored when a throw by Green Bay catcher Bryce Duszak skipped into left field, giving the A’s a 1-0 lead.

Green Bay answered in the fifth after loading the bases. Brayden Steinbecker singled before Carson Hawley reached on an error and Easton Arendt drew a walk to fill the bases. Brayden Pleau then worked a bases-loaded walk to force home the tying run, but starter Jared Reklaitis limited the damage by striking out Landen Lozier and Quinn Falish to end the inning.

Reklaitis turned in another strong outing, allowing one unearned run on seven hits over five innings while striking out 10. Nolan Sand followed with two scoreless innings of relief, striking out two to earn the victory.

The A’s finally broke through in the bottom of the seventh.

Wagner led off the inning with a double to left field. Two batters later, Cal Casper lined a single through the right side that Green Bay’s second basemen was able to knock down in shallow right field, and Wagner raced home with the winning run as Sheboygan celebrated its second walk-off victory of the season.

Wagner finished 2-for-3 with a double and scored both A’s runs. Casper delivered the game-winning RBI, while Chase Hanselman also added a hit.

Defensively, the A’s turned two double plays, including a key twin killing in the first inning that erased an early Green Bay threat.

Sheboygan travels to Menasha on Thursday night for a 7:30 PM Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League matchup against the first-place Macs. The A’s then return home Friday and Saturday as one of the hosts of the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Tournament. Sheboygan opens tournament play Friday at 7:30 PM against the Chicago Rockies before facing the Milwaukee Tropics at 11 AM and the Milwaukee Beavers at 4 PM on Saturday.
