A’s Win Back-to-Back WABC Titles

The Sheboygan A’s captured their second straight Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic championship Sunday. It’s the third time overall the team as won the tournament.

For the second straight season, it was a battle of the “A’s” for the title, as the Sheboygan A’s took on the Kewaskum A’s.

Trailing 4-0 in the championship game, the (Sheboygan) A’s rallied for eight unanswered runs to get the win. Eric Zuberbier, on in relief of Noah Imrie, got the win.

The A’s route to the championship saw them defeat Sussex 4-1on Thursday, Milwaukee (Beavers) 12-3 on Friday, Hartford 6-4 Saturday, then dispatch the Greenville Stars 12-11 in the semi-finals Sunday morning.

The A’s will take Monday off before have games Thursday-Friday before the Fourth of July Break.

The Sheboygan A's are members of theĀ Wisconsin State LeagueĀ andĀ Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
