Macs Score Late to Secure 4-1 Victory Over A’s

Posted: June 9, 2023

The Menasha Macs scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning Thursday night to put the game away. The Macs would win 4-1.

A triple by Gus Walker (Marian University) in the top of the fourth followed by a single by Jimmy Juergensen (Concordia Univesrity-Wisconsin) accounted for the A’s only offense on a night where they managed just six hits and only two runners, including Walker, advancing to third base all night.

Starter Dylan Davis (Marian University) had a quality start, lasting 5.2 innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out one. The two runs allowed by Davis were unearned. Michael Martinez (Marian University) and Ryan Roehl (St. Cloud State) pitched in relief.

The A’s now turn their attention to the Wisconsin State League Challenge in Sheboygan over the weekend. Sunday at 3 PM will be a matchup with the 18-time defending WSL champion Lombard Orioles, who enter the weekend 1-3.
