A’s Recognize Several at Awards Banquet

Pam Greger won the prestigious Golden A Award and Sargento was cited as Sponsor of the Year to highlight the Sheboygan Athletic Club’s Annual Awards Banquet held recently at Al & Al’s.
Greger chairs the concessions stand operation at Wildwood Baseball Park. Assisted by volunteers, she does everything from ordering to clean-up. Under her direction and with the help of club members and volunteer groups like Sheboygan Pine Club and the Sheboygan Elks Lodge #299 Gridiron Committee she made strong headway into solving her committee’s biggest problem – lack of volunteers.
Sargento has been helping sponsor the A’s for years but has stepped forward with major gifts in recent years, providing substantial funding for both the scoreboard and the concession stand remodeling project. Neither would have been possible without the help of Sargento Foods.
Jim Stange and Leon Wiegand both received Fan of the Year Awards for their stellar support. Batboy Jaxon Tillman and “Gofer” Olivia Tillman received special awards of appreciation for their help throughout the summer.
The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
