A’s Sweep Weekend in Illinois

The A’s swept their weekend across state lines.

Originally scheduled for two, the A’s and Chicago Clout played a single game Saturday night in Oak Lawn, IL with the A’s coming out on top 9-4.

Sunday, the A’s concluded the Wisconsin State League regular season with a 12-2 victory over the Addison Braves to finish 17-13 in WSL play this season.

The club will take on the Kenosha Kings Tuesday night at Wildwood Park in the Wisconsin State League’s step-ladder regional for a berth in the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament August 6-7 in Appleton. The winner will play in Burlington Wednesday night.

Sage Stellmacher was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles against the Clout and Riley Palmquist and Hunter Steger each had a pair of hits. Bryce Lovisa was the winning pitcher.

Sunday in Addison, Brad Rindfleisch surpassed 100 strikeouts for the season, pitching a complete-game four-hitter.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
