Macs Top A’s Monday Night

Posted: July 19, 2022

The A’s jumped on top early, but a seven-run fifth for Menasha pushed them ahead as the Macs defeated the A’s 12-5.

Gus Walker, Ross Krist, Harry Steldt, and Jacoby Endreas each had multi-hit outings in the losing effort, with Krist hitting his fourth home run of the season, Walker hitting his second triple of the season, and Juergensen hitting his fifth double.

A’s pitching was shaky throughout, issuing eight walks and two wild pitches while surrendering 11 earned runs and allowing 12 hits. Defensively, the A’s also committed three errors.

The A’s now sit at 31-17 overall, 12-13 in the WSL, and 11-3 in the NEWBL as the final week of the regular season resumes tonight at Wildwood against the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons. Tonight is the second poster giveaway of the season presented by Boneck Printing, where the first 150 fans will receive a poster featuring A’s pitchers Jared Reklaitis, Brad Rindfleisch, and Eric Schmitz. Tomorrow night is Christmas in July presented by Cousins Subs, with Santa coming to Wildwood Park with gifts for kids, $1 hot dogs, sodas, and raffle items from Cousins. It’s also our final Strike Out Hunger Night of the season in partnership with the Sheboygan County Food Bank, where fans can get a free ticket to the game with the donation of a jar of peanut butter.
