A’s Win Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic Championship

The Sheboygan A’s entered the 2022 Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic hot, riding in on a six-game win streak.
They exited the tournament on fire, winning five straight to go undefeated and win the championship. It’s their second time winning the tournament.
Ross Krist was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
In the opening round, the A’s defeated Clyman 5-4 late Friday night on a walk-off base hit from Krist. The A’s then dispatched the Milwaukee Jaguars Saturday 8-3 and Vaqueros 12-4 in extra innings before advancing to Sunday’s semi-finals.

There, they met a familiar foe in the Appleton Legends. Jimmy Juergensen hit a 3-run walk-off home run to give the A’s a 4-1 victory to advance to the tournament championship against another familiar foe, the Kewaskum A’s. Juergenen’s second home run of the day helped propel the A’s to a 7-4 victory and championship.

Riding an 11-game win streak, the A’s host Greater Green Bay Tuesday night at Wildwood Park.
The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
