Posted: March 13, 2022

It’s time to dust off your peanut-eating pants! The 2022 Sheboygan A’s baseball schedule is here.

It all gets started the weekend of May 21-22, when the club will once again play in the Play Ball Tournament. The A’s will host three games on Saturday, with the final day of the tournament taking place the following day in Manitowoc. Teams for the tournament are still being finalized.

The club then will have a week off before welcoming the Chicago Rippers to Sheboygan for a four-game set May 28-29 in non-league play.

Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League (NEWBL) play opens up on Wednesday, May 25 on the road against Kewaskum, while the Wisconsin State League (WSL) opener will be Tuesday, May 31 against the Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons in Green Bay.

Both the WSL and NEWBL bring back the same teams from last year, with the WSL consisting of the Addison (Illinois) Braves, Burlington Barons, Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons, Kenosha Kings, Lombard (Illinois) Orioles, and West Allis Nationals. The NEWBL will again feature the Appleton Legends, Greater Green Bay Blue Ribbons, Kewaskum A’s, and the Menasha Macs.

The annual Wisconsin State League challenge, a weekend where all WSL teams converge on Sheboygan for regular-season games takes place June 11-12 with games being played at Wildwood Park and Field of Dreams in Sheboygan.

The A’s will also once again be participating in the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic June 23-26, with that schedule yet to be announced.

The 2022 NEWBL Classic Tournament will take place the week of July 24th. All A’s games will be on the road that week as Wildwood Park hosts the Wisconsin American Legion State Tournament.

The A’s end the season in the Wisconsin State League Qualifier for the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament, taking place the first week of August.

In total, the A’s will have no less than 58 games. The 2022 season is presented by Meijer.
