A’s Win State Opener; Second Game Postponed to Sunday 11 AM

Posted: August 7, 2021

The Sheboygan A’s won their Wisconsin Class A State Tournament opener against the Appleton Legends 4-2.

After West Allis’s victory over Menasha, the A’s and Macs were set to play at 7:30 PM Saturday before rain post postponed the game.

The tournament format has now been adjusted to a round-robin on Sunday.

The A’s will play West Allis at 11 AM Sunday in the first game, followed by West Allis facing Menasha at 1:30 PM, then Menasha vs. Sheboygan at 4 PM. The State Champion will be the winner of the round-robin. If all teams finish 1-1, the winner will be the team with the fewest runs allowed during Sunday’s action.

The Macs defeated Appleton in game three Saturday to eliminate the Legends from the tournament.
