Wisconsin Class A State Tournament

State Tournament: What You Need to Know

Posted: August 6, 2021

The Sheboygan A’s will be hosting the Wisconsin Class A State Tournament this weekend, August 7-8, at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan.

The State Tournament, organized by the Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Association, currently features teams from the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The WABA defines Class A as: Teams in the Wisconsin State League, Northeast Wisconsin Baseball League, or teams that participate in tournaments or a minimum of 4 non-league games vs Class A teams.

Participants in this year’s tournament are the Appleton Legends (NEWBL), Menasha Macs (NEWBL), Sheboygan A’s (WSL / NEWBL), and West Allis Nationals (WSL).

The tournament is a double-elimination tournament.

All games will be seven innings. Should a game go to extra innings, the game will continue to be played using the same rules until a winner is decided (there will be no runners starting on base in extra innings).

Home and road teams for each game will be determined based on coin-flip.

All tournament games will be streamed live on the Sheboygan A’s Facebook and YouTube pages, in addition to the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League Facebook pages. Games involving Menasha or West Allis will also be streamed to their Facebook pages. The A’s are currently working with Appleton to stream their games to their account.

Live game scoring can also be followed on Game Changer for all games. To view live game scoring, click here.

Tickets to the games are available now, click here to purchase. Tickets are also available at the main gate to Wildwood Park, opening one hour before the first game of the day.
