A’s Suffer Embarrassing Home Loss

Posted: July 20, 2021

If it could go wrong Monday night, it did.

Green Bay broke open a 2-1 game with four runs in the fifth, then piled on seven more as the Blue Ribbons handed the A’s an embarrassing 13-1 home loss Monday night.

Numerous errors, a ball lost in the sky, and more contributed to the four-run fifth inning. A’s starting pitcher Jared Reklaitis was the victim of bad luck and spotty defense.

The loss puts the A’s at 23-25 for the season, 12-14 in the Wisconsin State League, and 6-6 in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A’s host the Appleton Legends tonight in another Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League matchup. Tonight is Bucks Night and Golf Night at the park. Fans wearing Milwaukee Bucks gear can get a general admission ticket for just “one buck”, and our delicious Bratchos will be “one buck” off at the concession stand.
