Errors Costly as Legends Shut Out A’s

Posted: July 1, 2021

A couple of errors in a game can be hard to overcome.

Seven? That will almost certainly cost you the game, and it did for the A’s Thursday night.

The Legends capitalized on seven A’s errors that scored five of their seven runs as the Legends shut out the A’s 7-0 Thursday in a matchup of the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League’s top two teams.

Even with the loss, the A’s retain their position atop the NEWBL standings while the Legends are a half-game behind. The A’s are 6-3 with the Legends at 6-4.

The Legends started the game with two, two, one and one run innings to jump out to a 6-0 lead. The A’s were unable to battle back, with no runners ever reaching third base in the defeat.

The team will take Friday off before heading to Kenosha Saturday for a Wisconsin State League doubleheader.
