A’s Go 1-2 in WABC

Posted: June 28, 2021

The Sheboygan A’s went 1-2 over the weekend at the abbreviated Wisconsin Amateur Baseball Classic tournament held in West Bend.

Rain and unplayable field conditions continued to alter the weekend schedule.

The A’s won their WABC opener behind a one-hitter from Brad Rindfleisch over the Milwaukee Beavers 3-1.

On Saturday, the A’s fell 8-4 in extra innings to the Sussex Cardinals.

Game rescheduling resulted in the A’s then playing Sunday at 10 AM against Hartford, a game the team would drop to be eliminated from the tournament.

The A’s hit the road to Menasha tonight for a Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League matchup with the Macs. The team is back home Tuesday for a Wisconsin State League game with the second-place West Allis Nationals.
