A’s Season Ends with Loss to Appleton

Posted: August 10, 2018

A loud kerplop ended the Sheboygan A’s high hopes in Menasha Thursday night.

A win would have given the A’s three wins and the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League’s tournament championship. Instead, Appleton won its third game, hammering the A’s by a 13-3 score in a game ended after six innings.

Appleton rocked A’s pitching for 14 hits and three walks.  Five A’s errors contributed to the dismal performance.

Ben Folger’s triple and Ross Krist’s double were the highlights of the A’s 5-hit night.

The team finished with a 34-26 record.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League.
