Road Woes Continue in Menasha as A’s Fall to Macs

Posted: July 12, 2016

For the fourth straight time and the 13th time in the last 17 meetings the, Menasha Macs beat the Sheboygan A’s. Monday’s final was 6-2.

In Menasha Monday night, the Macs roughed up A’s starter Ben Stanczyk, making his season debut, for four runs in the third inning and went on to a 6-2 win. The A’s managed only six hits off Menasha starter Eric Zuberbier. This was Zuberbier’s second win against the A’s this season.

The A’s took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning Nate Heili hit a triple, and Harry Steldt drove him in. Taylor Grimm added an RBI double in the fourth inning to cut the deficit at the time to 4-2. That would be all of the offense the A’s could muster up in the contest.

The A’s look to rebound tonight in Manitowoc with a 7:30 PM contest against the Bandits. The A’s are in their worst stretch of the season, having dropped six of their last eight games. The A’s beat Manitowoc 16-2 and 10-0 earlier this season.
