Nationals Halt A’s Winning Streak

Posted: June 17, 2016

WEST ALLIS – Aaron Woods and John Keane combined to quiet the Sheboygan A’s bats, allowing the A’s only five hits and
hanging a 4-2 loss on the club that came into the game with a 6-game winning
streak.

The A’s
never could quite get over the hump as they trailed 1-0, then 3-1, 3-2 and the
final 4-2.

Down
1-0, the A’s tied it in the fourth on back-to-back doubles by Trevor Cho and
Wyatt Olson, but West Allis got two in its half of the fourth and although
Dylan Detert and Olsen put hits together for a second run in the sixth, the A’s
couldn’t get over the hump.

Olson
had two of the A’s five hits and drove in both runs. Derek Loomans and Ben Folger combined on a
pitching performance easily good enough for a win but the A’s bats couldn’t get the
job done.

Now
at 10-2 for the season, the A’s play Appleton Friday night in a 7:30 p.m. game at Wildwood.
