A’s Advance to WSL Consolation Championship; Game in Sheboygan on Sunday

Blake Fleischman had four hits, Carter Amundsen three and
Eric Schmitz registered a complete game to lead the Sheboygan A’s over West Bend 7 UP and into the finals
of the Wisconsin State League consolation playoff.

The
score was a resounding 12-2 at Wildwood Park Saturday night.

The Northern Illinois
Legends, 9-7 winners over Kenosha Saturday will provide the competition in
today’s (Sunday’s) 1 p.m. game.

The Lombard Orioles are
the league champions, having beaten West Allis 10-2 and 5-2 Friday night and
Saturday afternoon.

Fleischman had three
singles and a double to drive in two runs for the A’s in the semifinal win, and
Amundsen drove in three with his two singles and double.

Wyatt Olson, Harry Steldt
and Adam Ryan all had two hits and Taylor Grimm belted his fifth home run of
the season.

The
A’s are 29-15 for the season.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
