Winfield, Olson Power A’s Past Oshkosh

SHEBOYGAN – The Oshkosh Giants and Sheboygan A’s squared off
in the opening game of the Wisconsin State League Challenge Friday night at
Wildwood Baseball Park. The A’s offense produced 10 hits and Brandon Winfield was
dominant on the mound in the 6-2 victory.

The A’s laced five straight singles in the 2nd
inning to take a 3-0 lead and Wyatt Olson provided some pop with a solo home
run in the 3rd to increase the A’s lead to 4.

Harry Steldt and Dan Barwick provided RBI hits late in the
game providing some insurance.

Winfield went the distance allowing two runs on eight hits,
picking up the win.

The A’s increase their record to 19-12 overall and 12-7 in the
Wisconsin State League.

The Wisconsin State League Challenge at Wildwood Baseball
Park continues tomorrow when the A’s will take on the Lombard Orioles at 7:30
PM.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
