A’s Blast 14 Hits in Win over Macs

Posted: July 7, 2015

SHEBOYGAN – A hit
parade traveled through Wildwood Baseball Park Monday night as the Sheboygan A’s
toppled the Menasha Macs by a score of 5-0 in a battle of the top two teams in
the Northeastern Wisconsin League.

As though producing a big 14-hit offensive night against
off-time NEW League Pitcher of the Year Jason Wierschke weren’t enough, the A’s
exhibited a smooth defense and got perhaps the best pitching performance of the
season from their top right arm, Taylor Schwarz.

Schwarz was dominant throughout as he went the distance
allowing only three hits to pick up his fourth win on the yea against the
hard-hitting MACs.

TJ McCoy’s double in the first inning scored Blake
Fleischman after he recorded the first of three hits he would get on the night to put  the A’s on the board and they never looked
back.

 McCoy, Dylan Detert, Fleischman,
Wyatt Olson, and Hayden Fenner all produced RBI hits in the win.   Fleischman, Nate Heili and Dan Barwick led
sticking with three hits.

The win bumped the A’s overall record to 17-10 and put them
back into the top spot in the Northeastern Wisconsin League with a record of
8-3.

The A’s continue their home stand Tuesday night with “Throwback Night” at the ballpark. The
A’s will be sporting their vintage jerseys from years past when they take on
Northern ‘Division leader West Allis in a crucial Wisconsin State League
match-up. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
