A’s Sweep Weekend From Braves

On  Saturday the Sheboygan A’s beat the Addison Braves 8-2. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out.

Derek Loomans pitched a complete game 4-hitter. Blake Fleischman hit a home run and everybody in the A’s line-up got a base hit.

The A’s won a doubleheader on Sunday, 9-7 and 9-3.

Adam Ryan emerged as the hero of the first game. The outfielder was upon for his first outing on the mound with the A’s leading 9-7 in the last inning with nobody out and the bases full of Braves. He enticed three straight popups to save the win. Ben Gordon had three hits and catcher Taylor Grimm threw out four would-be base stealers in the game.

Brandon Winfield went the route for the win in game two. Dylan Detert, Harry Steldt and Grimm all had two hits in game.

Now 13-6 for the season, the A’s travel to Oshkosh Tuesday night, with Taylor Schwarz scheduled to start on the mound.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
