Late Offensive Surge Pushes A’s past West Bend

SHEBOYGAN – The Sheboygan A’s were in Wisconsin State League action last night as they faced Northern Division rival West Bend 7 UP.

Ten batters came to bat for the A’s in the 7th inning as they plated six runs on their way to an 8-4 victory.

Dan Barwick and Taylor Grimm each recorded two RBI in the inning.

Derek Loomans picked up his first win of the 2015 campaign, going seven strong and striking out four. Joel Sharon took the loss for West Bend 7 UP.

With the win, A’s improve their Wisconsin State League record to 4-5. The overall record now sits at 8-5.

On Wednesday, the A’s are back in action as they host the Appleton Legends for Midwest Communications Night, where all four of Midwest Communications Sheboygan stations (Sheboygan’s Country B93, 106.5 The Buzz, 104.5 & 96.1 The Point, WHBL) will be in attendance with 
special prizes
 such as: Two Family Four Packs of  Summerfest tickets, two pairs of Rock USA 4-Day passes, two pairs of Country USA 5-day passes and 4-Pack Car Craft Summer Nationals 1-Day Admission Passes. First pitch for the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League match-up is 7:30 PM. Wednesday is also Wing Wednesday, sponsored by Legend Larry’s, where a limited supply of wings will be available for purchase at the concession stand. If all of that wasn’t enough, it is also $1 hot dog night!

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
