Solberg, Schwarz Power A’s Past Bandits

Eric Solberg’s first inning home run set the tone, Taylor
Schwarz’s dominating pitching sustained it, and after nine innings the
Sheboygan A’s left Manitowoc with a 9-1 win and a 9-3 record.

Tonight
the A’s take on Oshkosh in a State League and Northeastern Wisconsin League
game. Ben Stanczyk gets the start. The
A’s are 4-1 in the State League after sweeping Eau Claire over the weekend,
while Oshkosh is 1-3 after its series with powerful Kenosha. The A’s re 2-1 in the Northeastern, Oshkosh
0-2.

Tonight
is the annual Sponsors and Friends Night at the park. The team will be introduced to the Sponsors
and Friends, and the players will then meet with them individally.

The A’
travel to Lombard this weekend to take on the perennial league champion
Orioles.Last
night Solberg wound up with two runs batted in on three hits. Dan Barwick, TJ McCoy and Cole Miklavcic all
had two hits and Mc Coy drove in two runs, while Barwick scored four
times.

Schwarz went the distance,
striking out nine and walking but one. He scattered seven hits.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
