Awards Dinner Set For January 4

The Sheboygan Athletic Club’s annual Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday night, Jan.4, at Breaking Bread.

The dinner will celebrate the 51st year of Sheboygan A’s baseball
and will be highlighted by the presentation of awards to A’s players,
Diamonds players and Sheboygan Athletic Club members.

The dinner is open to the general public and the A’s have encouraged
their fans and friends to attend. Cost is $25 per person if paid in
advance. Registration deadline is Dec. 27. Checks payable to Sheboygan
Athletic Club should be sent to the club at P.O. Box 32, Sheboygan, WI
53082-0032. A list of the names of those attending should accompany the
check.

Dinner is at 7 p.m., following a social hour which gets under way at 5:30 p.m. The program will follow dinner.

A’s players are in the process of selecting their most valuable
player, pitcher and defensive player. Those awards and the leading
hitter award will be presented in addition to the Manager’s Award,
General Manager’s Sine Qua Non Award. The Diamonds’ Most Dedicated Players will also be honored.

The presentation of the coveted Golden A Award to a Sheboygan Athletic Club member will be one of the dinner’s highlights.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
