A’s Drop Another Game in Extras

Posted: June 21, 2013

The Sheboygan A’s lost another tough one Thursday
night in Green Bay, 5-4 to the Storm in 10 innings.

After being held in check seven innings by Sam Raff, Green Bay put
together five walks (one intentional), two hit batsmen, six hits and a
critical error to score their five runs in the eighth, ninth and tenth
innings to snatch the victory.

A home run by Harry
Steldt, Frank Pietrantonio’s hit and stolen base were followed
by an infield out and Ben Gordon’s hit, and then Grant
Evans’ double, an infield out and Chad Langley ground out gave
the A’s single tallies in the ball third, fourth and fifth
innings for a 3-0 lead.

Langley drove in his second
run to give the A’s a 4-3 going into the bottom of the tenth,
but Green Bay scored two in the bottom of the 10th to win the
Northeastern League match-up.

The A’s are
back at Wildwood Park tonight to take on Manitowoc in the big Bud Light
Night prize giveaway night and then host Eau Claire in Saturday evening
and Sunday afternoon doubleheaders. Saturday is Cancer Awareness night
when the A’s will honor Cancer patients, survivors and
care-givers and then Sunday is Labor Day.

The
A’s are 8-11 going into the home stand.
