A’s rally for win over Green Bay

The Sheboygan A’s overcame deficits of 4-0 and 7-1 Friday to earn a 9-8 win over the Green Bay Storm.

The A’s (18-13 overall, 8-5 Northeastern Wisconsin League) scored five runs in the eighth inning to tie the game on six hits and a sacrifice fly.

After Harry Steldt singled, Justin Hunt doubled to put runners on second and third with one out. Chad Langley and Sam Raff followed with RBI singles, then Jon Capasso drove in another run on an RBI double with Grant Evans adding an RBI single and Ryan Schilter hitting a sac fly to tie the game.

In the ninth, Taylor Schwarz drove in Drew Pearson with a sac fly for the winning run.

Ryan DeRose pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning to pick up the win. Brandon Winfield got the save.

Pearson finished with four hits and four stolen bases, Capasso had four hits and sac fly, Schilter added two hits and a sac fly and Raff had two hits as the A’s belted out 18 hits as a team.
