HAIR-REE! HAIR-REE! HAIR-REE! The chant that rings out at Wildwood Park whenever Harry Steldt strides up to the plate rang out at the Elks Club Saturday, January 8, when the Sheboygan A’s slugger was called to the podium to accept the 2021 Most Valuable Player Award at the Sheboygan Athletic Club’s Annual Awards Dinner.

The two were voted in by a committee consisting of current Hall of Fame members. They will be formally inducted at an A’s game still to be determined next summer.

On Sunday, December 5, The Legend Gene Mand will be inducted into the Old Time Baseball Players' Association of Wisconsin Hall of Fame.

Several Sheboygan A's have received post-season honors from the Wisconsin State League, the League announced.

“It was a very trying season,” manager Tim Moyer said.  “On paper, this team should have finished with a much better record than 32-31. We had one of the best pitching staffs I can recall.  Sometimes paper just doesn’t translate to execution.”

The Sheboygan Athletic Club will be hosting a Brat Fry and Bake Sale at Miesfeld's on September 11.

The Sheboygan A's won their Wisconsin Class A State Tournament opener against the Appleton Legends 4-2. After West Allis's victory over Menasha, the A's and Macs were set to play at 7:30 PM Saturday before rain post postponed the game.
