Lasch Delivers in Extras as A’s Outlast Green Bay in 11-Inning Battle

Posted: July 10, 2025

It took 11 innings, but with one clutch swing from Connor Lasch, the Sheboygan A’s emerged with a gutsy 6–5 road win over the Green Bay Blue Ribbons on Wednesday night in Wisconsin State League action.

Lasch delivered the game-winning blow in the top of the 11th, singling through the right side to break a 5–5 tie and give Sheboygan the extra-inning win. It capped off a three-hit night for the A’s catcher, who also doubled in the fourth and singled in the sixth.

Brad Rindfleisch gave the A’s everything he had and more, grinding through 7 innings on 144 pitches. He struck out six and walked just one while allowing five runs, only two of which were earned. The veteran right-hander kept Green Bay in check through seven before a wild eighth inning allowed the Blue Ribbons to pull even.

Sheboygan struck first in the fourth, when Lasch doubled to the gap to drive in Chase Hanselman. The A’s added two more in the fifth on a two-out double by Riley Palmquist. They seemed to break the game open in the eighth with two more runs, taking advantage of a pair of walks, an error, and a bases-loaded walk by Palmquist.

But Green Bay responded with a four-run bottom of the eighth, capitalizing on a string of hits, a wild pitch, and a fielders choice to level the score at five apiece.

Shaun Gavin entered in the eighth and was dominant down the stretch. He tossed four scoreless innings, working out of multiple jams — including a two-on, one-out situation in the 10th — to earn the win. He struck out five and allowed just three hits.

Lasch’s 11th-inning heroics were set up by a walk to Alex Ames and an error that moved runners into scoring position. The A’s loaded the bases, and Lasch didn’t wait around, lacing the first pitch into right field to score what proved to be the game-winner.

Palmquist and Lasch each drove in two runs, while Ames reached base three times and scored twice. In total, the A’s drew eight walks and collected nine hits, showing patience and resilience throughout the night.

The A’s improve to 19–12 overall and 8–9 in WSL play.
