A’s Drop Road Contest in Menasha

The A’s dropped a 9-5 decision on the road Tuesday in Menasha.

The A’s now fall to 5-7 in the NEWBL, 29-19 overall. They are 14-12 in the WSL.

Menasha pounded out 16 hits Tuesday night, including two doubles and two triples as they A’s struggled to keep the Macs hitters at bay. The A’s only collected four hits but used 10 walks to keep themselves in the game.

Catcher Ian Merry (UW-Platteville) led the club offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate and adding two walks to reach base four times.

The A’s are back on the road Wednesday night in West Bend against the first place Kewaskum A’s.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
