14 and Counting: A’s Roll Over Blue Ribbons to Win 14th Straight
Posted: July 6, 2022
A six-run third inning blew the game open as the A’s cruised to their 14th straight victory Tuesday night with an 11-3 victory over Greater Green Bay at Wildwood Park.
After scoring two in the second, the first two A’s hitters of the third reached base on a walk and a hit batsman before Ross Krist (UW-Platteville Alum) doubled in the first two runs of the inning.
Following another hit batter and a single to load the bases, the next two Jonathan Kim (University of Michigan Commit) and Jacoby Endreas (UW-Stout) each hit two-run singles pushing the lead to 8-0.
Three more runs in the fifth gave the A’s all the offense they would need to improve their overall record to 24-10, 10-8 in the Wisconsin State League, and 7-1 in the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League.
Jared Reklaitis (UW-Milwaukee Alum) picked up his third win of the season, striking out eight over five innings. He has a team-leading 0.78 ERA.
The A’s hit the road Wednesday for a weekday doubleheader against the Appleton Legends at 6:30 PM. The team comes back home Thursday for the annual Bud Light Night game at 7:30 PM.
