The Sheboygan A’s pounded 18 hits to take a 10-0 shutout in Game 1 of a road doubleheader Saturday against the Burlington Barons.

The local semi-pro baseball club stayed hot for a 12-6 win in Game 2 to sweep the two-game series.

“It’s just good to win,” A’s general manager Denny Moyer said.

Derek Loomans threw a two-hitter to take the Game 1 win on the mound with three strikeouts, two walks and two hits. Alex Jaskulski was 4-for-4 at bat in the first game, and Jonathan Capasso was 3-for-4.

Capasso had another two hits in Game 2. Drew Pearson added three more, and Harry Steldt hit a two-run double to help key the A’s offense.

The A’s today are celebrating youth baseball day, meaning any kids wearing their team shirts will get in free for both games of a doubleheader against the Addison Braves slated to start at 1 p.m.
