Bond Total Hits $8,000

Posted: February 28, 2012

As of February 28, the Sheboygan A’s Sustaining Bond project has raised $8,150. Fifty-three community members have stepped up and purchased Sustaining Bonds. The A’s are selling the tax deductible Sustaining Bonds in an attempt to pay down the balance of the $175,000 bank note they had to take out to pay for the Wildwood Park improvements.

The program is modeled after the stock sale of the Green Bay Packers in those years when the team needed an infusion of capital.

“We are asking the Sheboygan community to respond to their team’s need just as the Green Bay fans responded to their team’s,” said A’s General Manager Denny Moyer. In addition to the bonds, which are suitable for framing, the A’s are offering a number of perks to bond holders in the 2012 season.

Persons interested in joining the community bond sale can get details here, or by calling 920-458-6377.
