A’s Get Payback Against Manitowoc

Posted: July 22, 2011

You can analyze over analyze and re-analyze until the cows come home, but winning baseball games still comes down to pitching and hitting in the clutch.

The Sheboygan A’s did that Thursday night and came out with a 5-4 win over the league-leading Manitowoc Bandits.

Through nine innings, A’s pitchers Ben Stanczyk and Jack Archie gave up only six hits.

And with two outs, Tim Patzman and Ryan Solberg put doubles together and Charlie Reschke singled for a 2-run inning and a lead the A’s would never lost.

Later Taylor Schwarz hit a solo home run and Patzman drove in a run with his second double of the night to account for the scoring.

Stanczyk got the win and Archie the save.

The A’s take on the Green Bay Storm tonight at 7:30. p.m. at Wildwood Park in KC Night.
