Sheboygan A's Baseball

Park Construction Advances

Posted: November 10, 2010

The dugout foundations are in, the fence posts are in, the slab for the field level seating area will poured this week, the fence will be put up and if the weather co-operates the dugout block will go up this week. Next week it is finishing off the dugouts and hanging the protective netting. In other words, things are looking good. But the club is still in need of your help to pay for the $200,000 project. Send in a little, send in a lot, but send in something. We need you to step up to the plate.

What is your favorite Sheboygan Baseball memory? Certainly you have one. Everybody does. A Stars of Tomorrow appearance at Legion Park? An enjoyable evening with your friends at Wildwood Park? The thrill you felt when your son got a big base hit? A win in the North-South game? It is our hope to continue the legacy of Sheboygan baseball memories and to have a nice ballpark to build new memories. We need your help.

So far, 38 individuals have made contributions ranging from $5 to $1,000 to the building project for a total of $5,934. We can do this, but we need your help. Please consider sending a tax deductible contribution to the Sheboygan Athletic Club, PO Box 32, Sheboygan, WI 53082-0032 — and when you do, include a note to tell us about your favorite Sheboygan baseball memory. We’ll record them, share some of them here, and create an anthology of the others. Remember, we need help from everybody. No gift is too small. Send yours in today.
