Bad Time for a Let Down. De Pere Jolts A’s 9-5

The De Pere River Bandits knocked the Sheboygan A’s out of contention for a home field advantage in the Northeastern Wisconsin League playoffs. In fact, the A’s must now win two of their last three games to secure a berth in the playoffs.

De Pere took a 9-5 win at Sheboygan’s Wildwood Park Wednesday night.

Tonight the A’s are in Oshkosh and on Friday wrap up their regular season with a doubleheader against De Pere. It will start at 7 p.m. at Wildwood Park.

De Pere came into the game with a 1-19 record in the league. Unfortunately for A’s fans, both teams played at a 1-19 level. Only five of the game’s 14 runs were earned as the two teams combined for a total of 10 errors.

Jason Rennicke and Joey Patzman each has two hits for the A’s, who left 11 runners on base.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
