A’s Game Moved to Menasha

Posted: July 7, 2010

The Sheboygan A’s game against the Menasha Macs scheduled for Wildwood Park tonight had to be cancelled because of saturated grounds.

When the two teams talked about rescheduling and found they couldn’t come up with a date, they decided to make a quick flip and play tonight’s game in Menasha and to move the Aug 3 game when the A’s were scheduled to play at Menasha to Sheboygan..

After several hundred telephone calls, arrangements were finalized and the A’s hit the road for Menasha and the off-again, on-again game, now at Koslo Park.

A’s players have a night off Thursday as the club members turn their attention to the fund-raising bingo session at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish Hall.

Friday night is the All-Star game at Wildwood Park pitting the Northeastern Wisconsin League All-Stars against their counterparts from the Langsdorf League of Southeastern Wisconsin. The home run contest starts at 6 p.m., the game at 7:30 p.m.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels). All Sheboygan A's home games are played at Wildwood Baseball Park in Sheboygan. Connect with the A's on FacebookTwitterInstagram and YouTube.
