Posted: June 16, 2010

The Storm — Green Bay Storm that is — is here tonight for a 7:30 p.m. Northeastern Wisconsin League game at Wildwood Baseball Park.

The storm that washed out the Tuesday night Oshkosh game hopefully has left town.

Tonight is Bud Light Night featuring Bud Light at special prices and raffles all night long. Among the prizes to be given away are two tickets to the NASCAR Nationwide Race June 19 at Road America, 75 tickets to Country Jam in July in Eau Claire, a 19″ LCD HDTV, Bud Light hats and T-shirts, plus Bud Light beads for all fans. In addition, the Bud Light Bike, a tandem bicycle, will be there offiering racing for prizes.

The game is a big one for the A’s. Green Bay is 1-1 in the league and the A’s, 2-2. The A’s are 8-2 for the season. The club is off to a good start (8-2 overall) with nine players hitting over .300 and a tenth at .293, and 12 pitchers with an ERA of 3.00 or less.

The A’s are asking fans to support their Thursday night game against De Pere. It is Mark Reinemann Night with all gate receipts, raffle and auction prize proceeds going to the Reinemann Family. Reinemann had drastic cancer surgery Tuesday in Baltimore. Gametime Thursday is 7:30 p.m. with a special pre-game program beginning at about 7:10.
