A’s Host Green Bay in Playoffs Friday

The Sheboygan A’s will host the Green Bay Storm Friday night in their Northeastern Wisconsin League Playoff opener.

Gametime at Wildwood Baseball Park is 7:30 p.m.

The A’s finished with a 33-21 record this year, while Green Bay is 23-20 overall. The A’s won the NEWBL with a 20-4 record and got a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

The Storm eliminated the Appleton Legends by a 6-3 score in the finale of their best of three series.

Menasha and Manitowoc meet in the other semifinal series. Both advanced needing only two games to eliminate Little Chute and De Pere respectively.

Game two of the Sheboygan Green Bay series will be played in Green Bay Saturday night beginning at 7:15 p.m. If game three is needed, it will be back in Sheboygan Sunday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.

The championship series is scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday next week. If the A’s make it, they will be home on Tuesday night.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
