A’s Cruise Past Little Chute

Sheboygan quickly erased a 3-0 deficit and cruised to a 14-4 run-rule shortened victory over the Little Chute RiverBandits on Wednesday at Wildwood Baseball Park.

Tim Patzman was 4-for-5 and Greg Blohowiak and Brett Cleveringa each had three hits as Sheboygan improved to 32-20 and finished the Northeastern Wisconsin League in first place with a 20-4 record.

Zach Hoch settled down after allowing three second-inning runs and got the win. Sheboygan pounded out 15 hits.

Little Chute committed five errors.

Blohowiak had three RBI and Brett Cleveringa and Jordan Rennicke each had two RBI for the winners.

The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
