The Sheboygan A’s scored more runs at E.J. Schneider Field in Oshkosh Wednesday night than they scored in their last five games.

Timely hitting and a strong pitching performance by Eric Dayton powered the A’s to a rousing 9-2 victory over the Oshkosh Giants. The A’s scored 1, 0, 2, 1 and 1 run in their last games. Last night’s win put the A’s at 12-9 for the season and 3-6 in the Wisconsin State Leaue. The loss was Oshkosh’s first of the season.

The A’s took a 2-0 lead in the second on Graham Bintliff’s clutch 2-out, 2-strike double that scored Shawn Wozniak and Tim Patzman who got on on a hit and walk and moved unto scoring position on a passed ball.

A couple A’s errors helped Oshkosh tie it in the third, but in the sixth, the A’s broke the game open with four runs. Bintliff got another RBI single, but Matt Schilter’s 2-out, 2-run single was the key blow in the inning.

The A’s added three more in the eighth with the RBIs going to Schilter and Grant Berkovitz on sacrifiece flies and Taylor Schwarz with a base hit.

Dayton surrendered only three hits and one earned run in his 7-inning stint. He struckout seven and walked three. Sam Radbil finished it up.

Bintliff drovein three runs with single and bouble, Schilter drove in three with a 2-run single and a sacrifice fly. Wozniak and Taylor Schwarz had two hits.

Ryan Schmitz gets the ball tonight when the A’s travel to Appleton for a 7:15 game at Nienhuis Field.

The A’s return to Wildwood Park Saturday night for a 5 p.m. doubleheader against Janesville. It is Hall of Fame night and the A’s will be inducting Michael Casper into their Hall.
