UW-Milwaukee 2015: Redshirted and maintained junior eligibility.
Prior to UWM: Spent two seasons at Madison College before transferring to Milwaukee, helping team to back-to-back third-place finishes at the NJCAA Division II World Series … appeared in 45 games as a sophomore, ranking second on the team with a .349 batting average … 44 hits, 27 runs scored and 24 runs batted in … posted a .426 on-base percentage … played in 31 games and made 28 starts as a freshman … finished with a .247 batting average with 19 hits in 77 at-bats … recorded eight RBI, scored 12 runs and went 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts … two-time academic all-conference … Dean’s List member.
High School: Three-year letterwinner in baseball and four-year letterwinner in wrestling at Wausau West High School… named Wisconsin Valley All-Conference twice in baseball, was a WIAA D1 State Tournament qualifier in wrestling and was selected team captain for both his wrestling and baseball teams his senior season.
Personal: Son of Dan and Dawn Detert … a finance major with a business Spanish minor … chose UWM because he liked the coaches and it allowed him to play with some of his junior college teammates again … career goal is to go to law school, become a sports agent and represent some of his teammates … most memorable sports experience was hitting a grand slam off Austin Schulfer and upsetting No. 1 Plover in the Legion playoffs … hobbies include skiing, hunting and fishing … born Feb. 9, 1994.
