The Blue Ribbons have certainly had the A’s number this season.
For the fourth time out of five, the Blue Ribbons came away victorious as they defeated the A’s 4-1 Thursday night in the teams’ final Wisconsin State League matchup of the season.
The A’s offense was limited to just three hits and struckout 17 times in loss which dropped them to 14-13 overall in the WSL standings.
Jacob Neese (Parkland Community College) had a double, with Gus Walker (Marian University) and Jimmy Juergensen (Concordia University-Wisconsin) each adding singles to account for the A’s offense. Walker also drew a walk and stole a base.
Brad Rindfleisch tried to keep the A’s in the game with a complete game, 16 strikeout performance of his own on the mound.
In their five matchups this season, Green Bay outscored the A’s 30-5, striking out the A’s 53 times in their first season-series victory over Sheboygan since re-joining the league as the De Pere Dodgers in 2016.
The A’s are home tonight when they host the Appleton Legends for Fan Appreciation Night at 7:30, with $1.50 hot dogs, $3.50 pretzel bites, $1 programs, 20% off youth and adult sweatshirts, and extra prize giveaways all night long.
